I have the incredible honor to work on a logo for this amazing ministry. I will let Deedra explain it...

"I'm starting a thing called Virtual Mission. It's a mission trip without actually leaving your home country. It's based on the idea that short term mission trips are increasingly becoming the thing to do ( I think they always have been but in Cambodia the sheer number of people coming is growing) and that the reality is they cause more harm than good for the country you visit. Leading to more dependence rather than really helping. Not to mention the financial cost that could be put to better use.

I'd like to create the learning piece of this experience...without the dependence. So the participant would attend physically or virtually 5 pre-trip meetings and one post trip.  The "trip" is a series of 5 or so videos that are sent back to them over one weeks time so that they can learn about the country and a few orgs that are investing and doing great things on the ground. The money raised who go directly to those orgs.

The logo I'm thinking of world somehow include a globe...not just a earth but a globe with its stand...to symbolize the world.  But I'm open. I don't have a tag line yet...but the idea is not everyone should go...some are senders...but we all need to be aware of the world....the needs and Gods heart for the lost."
